Hey everybody, how's it going Today, we're going to be going over and showing you how to install the stealth hitches, hidden rack receiver with towing kit, here on our 2013 BMW three series convertible. So this is what our trailer hitch is going to look like installed on our three series here, which brings us to the main feature of this stealth hitch. And that it's completely hidden when not in use. Everything is going to be tucked away behind the bumper here. So we don't have to worry about any bulky cross tubes hanging down below affecting our ground clearance and taking away from the overall look of the vehicle. Even though the design looks quite a bit different, the end results are going to be about the same. We're going to cover a few of the differences first.The biggest differences between the two besides the appearance is the receiver tube on the Curt. It attaches by two vertical pieces of steel that are welded up here, and the collar at the end has a reinforcement welded to it. more

Curt Trailer Hitch Installation - 2018 BMW 3 Series- Video

Today on our 2018 BMW 3 Series we're going to be taking a look at, and showing you how to install the Curt Class I Custom Fit Trailer Hitch Receiver, part number C11367. So, here's what our hitch looks like once we have it installed. The cross tube is going to be completely hidden behind the bumper, and all we're going to see is the receiver tube sticking out, giving it a really nice look on the back of our BMW. It's going to offer us an inch and a quarter by inch in a quarter receiver tube opening, which is going to be great for bike racks and some smaller cargo carriers. The way we're going to mount any of our accessories is through the hitch pin hole here on the side, and it is going to accept standard half inch pin and clip, and while these are not included in the kit you can pick them up here at etrailer.com, along with locking devices to keep your accessories secure.Our safety chain connection points are going to be a loop style and we're going to have plenty of room to get most sized hooks on or off. Curt does recommend using a safety strap when carrying any non-trailer loads, such as as bike rack or a cargo carrier. more

Curt Trailer Hitch Installation - 2013 BMW 3 Series- Video

Speaker 1: Today on 2013 BMW Three Series we're gonna be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Curt class one custom fit trailer hitch receiver, part number C11367. Here's what our hitch looks like when it's fully installed, the cross tube's gonna be tucked up underneath the bumper nicely and all we're really gonna see is the receiver tube sticking out right here.Now our receiver tube's gonna have a nice reinforced collar, not only giving it added strength but giving it a nice, clean finished look. Now our hitch is a class one which means it's gonna give us that inch and a quarter by inch and a quarter receiver tube opening. Here on the side we can see that it's gonna use a standard half inch pin and clip, they are included in our kit which is always a nice bonus. Now as far as the safety chain loops go they're gonna be a rolled steel stock style welded to the bottom of the receiver tube and as you can see we're not gonna have too much trouble getting most sized hooks on or off and still have room for our locking hitch pin if you choose to have one.Our hitch is gonna feature a 200 pound tongue weight along with a 2,000 pound gross trailer weight rating. Now I do want to mention you always want to double check your BMW's owners manual to make sure that your car can handle that amount of weight. more

Trailer Hitch Installation - 2015 BMW 3 Series - Curt- Video

Today on our 2015 BMW Three Series we're going to be taking a look at and installing the CURT Class One Inch and a Quarter Receiver Hitch, part number C11367. As you can see we have our hitch installed. It's going to be nice and tucked away underneath the back side of the vehicle. You're going to have that inch and a quarter by inch and a quarter receiver tube capable of carrying up to two hundred pounds of ton weight and a trailer with a gross weight of two thousand pounds. It's going to have those nice tie downs for your chains on either side. With a half inch hole drilled straight through you're going to be able to slide in your pin to secure your trailer to your receiver. From the center of the hitch pin hole to the outer most edge of the bumper is going to be about three and a half inches. From the top of our receiver tube to the ground is going to be about eleven and seven-eighths inches. With these dimensions they will help you in selecting cargo carriers or bike racks for the back end of your BMW. Now, let's go ahead and take a look at how it installs. First thing we're going to need to do is going to be opening up that rear trunk. more

Trailer Hitch Installation - 2007 BMW 3 Series - Curt- Video

Today on the 2007 BMW 3 Series, we're going to show you part number C11771 from Curt. This is an inch and a quarter Class I receiver hitch. This is what the hitch looks like when it's installed on our 3 Series. It has an inch-and-a-quarter opening right here, has a round collar around the end of the hitch, and also has a loop for your safety chains. This uses a half-inch hitch pin and sits beneath the bumper, right on the bottom edge. This also has a strap that goes from the hitch, all the way towards the rear sub-frame. You can't see it, but it also bolts up to the bumper brackets behind the bumper cover. more

All right. Today, it's 1998 BMW 3 Series, we're going to install part number 11177 from Curt. This is what the hitch looks like once installed on the car. Next, we'll go ahead and give you some measurements to help you out in selecting some accessories such as the bike rack or a cargo carrier. On top of receiver opening down to the ground will be 11 inches and from the center of the hitch pinhole to the edge of the bumper will be about 3-1/4 inches. Today on this 2004 BMW 3 Series we are going to install part number C11174 from Curt. This is what the hitch looks like when it is on the vehicle. Next we will go ahead and give you some measurements that will help you out in ing some accessories such as a ball mount, a bicycle rack or a cargo carrier. From the top of the receiver opening down to the ground is going to be 10-1/2 inches. And from the center of the hitch pin hole to the outside edge of the bumper is going to be 6-1/2 inches. Trailer Hitch Installation - 2002 BMW 330XI- Video

Today we are going to be installing Curt hitch part number C11174 on a 2002 BMW 330XI. Okay we are going to start off by going into the trunk area. We want to go ahead and remove the spare tire, all of our attaching points are going to come through the trunk well. With everything cleared out, we are going to start by using these long brackets that are included in the installation kit.
